Introduction:
 
Wilkinson Sword approached Atlas Packaging looking for a quick assembly point of sale packaging design that was in the form of a gift box presentation pack for men’s toiletries. 
 
The Brief: A STRONG POINT OF SALE PACKAGING DESIGN
 
The gifting innovations team at Wilkinson Sword wanted to deal with an independent packaging company with a pedigree in point of sale packaging and supported by a strong and able design team. Atlas was requested to product packaging that featured: a quick assembly box, strong lithographic print quality, high durability and most importantly being cost effective.
 
The Solution: A HIGHLY DURABLE, LITHOGRAPHIC PRESENTATION PACK
 
In order to create added value for Wilkinson Sword; Atlas had to delicately perfect the print quality of the lithographic presentation pack to make their packaging stand out. As this project was essentially about the brand it was important that Wilkinson Sword had a gift offering that was both value for money but clearly a branded Wilkinson Sword product.
 
The design of the carton was one of hi-tech imagery and included a transformer type character that has featured over many of Wilkinson Sword’s recent marketing campaigns. Aligning the packaging for this new line alongside any other marketing material was essential for Wilkinson Sword to stay consistent with their branding. To ensure strong shelf presence, considerations had to be made to allow the graphics to be ‘framed’ on the carton. This resulted in a distinctive, vibrant, neon edge that surrounded the Wilkinson Sword artwork and gave an overall ‘WOW!’ factor.

The Hydro 5 is a razor from Wilkinson Sword that includes a gel reservoir to hydrate skin during shaving, and new skin guards to help prevent skin getting trapped between blades.
